Canadian Pro Angler Bob Mann shows us how the smallmouth action is from the Detroit River up to 9 Mile road. He gets into smallmouth bass of various sizes and in different places and reveals his top bait and presentation of the day.

This is an excellent report with lot’s of information in the video footage. If you take the report earlier in the week from Anchor Bay and put it together with this one, you can see how the size and quantity of bass measure up and down the U.S. shoreline.

Bob found large numbers of smallies with many chasing his hooked bass to the boat as he reeled it in. He did not see any beds yet but there were huge females among the bass following hooked bass. The females were very shy and hard to catch.

Bob also delivers some insight into fishing spots in this video. Boat position can mean everything when trying to hook up with a group of bass that are schooled up in a select area.
