Lake St. Clair Bass Report 4th of July, Wayne Carpenter, Lowell Reich
For the second week in a row we made the rounds in the north part of the Lake to see if there are any signs of migration. Although we had to cut our day short, we managed to hit 10 spots, 9 of which we blanked on. the 10th spot was the charm though as we boated a five pound smallie and one other 2 1/2 pounder.
We were also looking for signs of the summer bite coming on. It is too early for that but we always push to see if spots are firming up, if the patterns start to get consistent or we get on more four pound smallies. We didn’t see any of that. What we did find were leading edge outliers to the migration.
