It was one big smallie after another on tubes

It was one of those perfect fall days where the winds were low to dead calm and the bass were all schooled up. These kinds of days come along in the Fall where you can navigate the Lake with no wind to hold you back. There is a stretch of stable weather coming up next week that looks good for fishing, that is if you are not out hunting.

Tubes really dominated. Xtreme Bass Tackle tube colors, Formula G3, Canadian Mist and St. Clair Crayfish put one fish in the boat after another. Since we were only out for a few hours, we didn’t experiment much with color. We did do a few things with size and caught them on 4″ tubes at first, then downsized to a drop-shot tube on a jig then a drop-shot tube under a bobber.
