Lake St Clair Canada Bass Opener 2018 Tournaments

We again rely on the Michigan DNR Fishing Tournament Information System for an overview of the weekend events. A big difference is that as of the fourth Saturday in June, this Saturday, bass season opens in Canada (and Walpole).

It may not be entirely necessary to leave U.S. waters to win this weekend. The deeper water will hold plenty of post-spawn females, if you are willing to wait them out. Last weekend, it took 24 pounds plus to win the biggest tournament. Expect to bring something close to that back the scales to compete on Saturday or Sunday.

Fishing pressure will be high, but we still get a reprieve from the pro anglers from FLW for one more weekend. Their practice starts next week.
