Clinton River Cutoff Bridge – They Are At it Again!

Just when you may have thought that work on the Clinton River Cutoff bridge was over, they are at it again. This time it looks like a quick strip and pave job being done on the weekend as to not interfere with busy weekday traffic.

Nevertheless, they were working the traffic one-way at a time and the weekend traffic was backing up anyway. At 5:30pm on a Saturday afternoon the traffic on the launch side backed up all the way past Crocker. For some reason a couple people were beeping their horns which had absolutely no impact on sign guy.

I did ask the guy holding the Stop/Go sign about when they expect to be done, he said, “Have to ask the guys doing the work.” No chance of doing that while scurrying across the bridge with a sizeable part of the population of St. Clair Shores behind me. My guess is that they will be done before Monday.

Hopefully they will be done by Monday
