Lake St. Clair Bass Opening Weekend Tournaments

It’s catch and release all year in Michigan but that doesn’t diminish the excitement brought on by opening day for bass on Lake St. Clair. For the first time this year, Lake St. Clair anglers can keep their catch and bring it back to shore for a weigh-in. It’s not unlike the pre-spawn bite for bass…anglers will be everywhere and easy to find.

After a long winter, hours of preparing, upgrading tackle and hours of practice, the big moment is here. There are many kinds of tournaments with different levels of competition. Here is a list of the registered tournaments launching on Lake St. Clair this weekend:
