| April 15, 2016

The Cabela’s Masters Walleye Circuit is having a two day tournament that launches on the Detroit River at Elizabeth Park in Trenton, Michigan. The weigh-in is open to the public and begins at 3:00pm on both Friday and Saturday. If you have been to the Detroit River this week you may have seen all the boats practicing, many of them below Belle Isle.

We talked with Mike at The Bait and Tackle Box in Trenton, just outside of Elizabeth Park and he tells us that the anglers can fish any water to find their catch. That means that Michigan, Ohio and Canadian waters are open all.

The tournament is perfectly timed with the spring walleye run so there should be no shortage of walleye brought to the scales.
